Advisory Transactions

CAMELS Consulting Group has provided community banks advisory support in dividend strategies, capital offerings, retirement of debt, capital planning, de novo formations, shareholder specific products, and changes in corporate governance in seeking to increase shareholder return.

The principal of CAMELS has over the course of his career been extensively involved in the management of investments through several credit cycles. He chaired the Investment Risk Committee of a $100 B investment portfolio and directly managed a $6 B distressed loan group. He has worked extensively in advancing corporate structures in community banks that support the local ownership model. New formations include over 14 de novo banks, trust departments, bank holding company formations, investment subsidiaries, and re-organizations.

CAMELS’ focus is on providing ‘privately-held banks’ programs designed to increase existing shareholder and new investor interest. Specialized programs have been developed creating a more structured Buy/Sell process that supports shareholder succession and fair market value (FMV) efforts.
